SETAC Europe: Environmental Exposure Assessment
February 18 - February 22
ARCHE Consulting will be present at the SETAC Europe course “Environmental Exposure Assessment” from 18 till 22 February 2019 in Osnabrück, Germany.
Whether or not a chemical may cause a risk to the environment is established in environmental risk assessment. As part of the risk assessment, the expected environmental concentrations are established in the so-called environmental exposure assessment. Such exposure assessments are required by various EU directives, e.g. those on plant protection products, on biocides, pharmaceuticals and on industrial chemicals. Solid exposure assessments require a complex skill set. It involves an understanding of the information used as model input. In addition, it requires an understanding of the basis of environmental modeling. This technical expertise needs to be coupled with an understanding of the regulatory requirements. This exposure assessment course is specifically designed for the SETAC Europe CRA programme (Certification of Environmental Risk Assessors).
