Dr. Hanna Maes obtained her master’s degree (bio-engineer environmental technology) from Ghent University in 2004. She finished her PhD thesis at RWTH Aachen University (Germany) in the frame of a Marie Curie project (6th FP, AQUAbase) on the fate, bioavailability, and effects of endocrine disrupting (ED) compounds.
Afterwards, Hanna became team and project leader at the Institute for Environmental Research of Aachen University. She developed and coordinated several national and international projects concerning necessary adaptations of ecotoxicological standard tests for further risk assessment of nanomaterials. After finalising her post doc research and before her return to Belgium, Hanna was team leader Fish and Endocrine Testing at Eurofins Agroscience Services GmbH (Niefern-Öschelbronn, Germany).
She joined ARCHE Consulting to strengthen the team with her ecotoxicological expertise and profound knowledge on endocrine disruption.
