Charlotte Nys, PhD

Charlotte Nys graduated as Master in Biology at Ghent University in 2010. She successfully finished the advanced Master in Environmental Management and Sanitation program in 2011.

She obtained a PhD at the Laboratory of Environmental Toxicology and Aquatic Ecology at Ghent University in 2016. During the next two years, she was a post-doctoral researcher at the same institution. Her research focused on the effects of bioavailability on metal toxicity and metal mixture toxicity to aquatic organisms. She has been involved in the development of bioavailability tools which increase the ecological relevance of environmental risk assessment procedures and water quality standards derivations for metals.

At ARCHE Consulting, her modelling expertise is applied to various projects relating to metal bioavailability and mixture toxicity. Additionally, she is involved in the preparation of REACH, BPR, and PPP dossiers.
